Art Is In Market allows local artists to sell and display their work in high traffic local area malls, allowing artists to develop their art from a hobby into a real business. Art Is In Market stores are open 362 days a year, more than 3,744 hours for your work to be on display for sale. Art Is In Market has generated more than $20,000,000 in local art sales in the Michigan economy over the past 12 years, and we look forward to the difference that local artists will make to Tennessee and the greater Nashville area!

Everything we do we is centered on providing artists a permanent home in high profile, local malls to showcase their work. We believe that artists can make a difference for Tennessee and Nashville through their art and handmade goods. We believe that collaborating with customers has artists expand their creative expression. We also believe that when artists work together to sell their work amazing things happen! This allows an artist to create, start, and expand their business.

Brian currently resides in Nashville and for the past three years has guided the company as the CEO of Art Is In Market brand. Brian, who is also a photographer, understands how to display, sell and offer work to the retail public. He enjoys working very closely with artists to achieve new levels of success, and is excited to work with local Middle Tennessee artists at this new location.

Debbie LaPratt, Owner/Founder
The creator of Art Is In Market, has been an artist for over 40 years. During those years, she remembers:
A temporary space was offered for 2 months. Now it has been over 10 years, during which time Art Is In Market has opened three other locations in Michigan, and in 2015, its first out-of-state adventure began in Nashville, Tennessee

My holiday season was often spent traveling to art shows, sometimes working at two or more in a weekend. Showcasing my art and crafts around the state came at a high price with lots of time used setting up, tearing down and traveling. This took me away from family and friends. Then, over 9 years ago as I began to plan my holiday season and consider what shows I was going to do, I happened through a local mall and it hit me! ‘What if I could create a store for all my artist friends during November and December.’ I contacted the Laurel Park Mall in Livonia, Michigan to explore my thought, and to my surprise they loved the idea. |
